Scholarship grants are given to students or other individuals for educational purposes. These awards may be given in cash or in the form of credit to be applied toward payment of educational costs. Most scholarships are awarded on the basis of high academic achievement, good character, and financial need; some are granted through competitive examination. Many scholarships are awarded, without further qualification, to capable and needy students.
I believe I deserve an adult scholarship especially that currently I am at school and an Education major. Age does not hinder a person from being a scholar. Being a scholar does not only apply to those young individuals, I believe that every individual has every right to avail and become a scholar as long as he/ she meet the requirements. These requirements should include being diligent and responsible. At my age now, I am more focused in achieving my goals in life and one of it is finishing my degree. In some cases, being a scholar is expected to perform certain duties in return and I am very much willing to do those tasks.
I am very determined to pursue my chosen career because I believe that having a degree is one of the most admired achievements in the life of an individual. It is the basis of how your future will become. If you have a nice and much known degree then you have the greater chances of being hired the moment you graduate. I am an education major which means that I have that desire to teach in the future and I will be only able to fulfill it if I will be granted a scholarship. I really am very desperate to finish my studies because it is my ambition ever since. I want to achieve something that would also help others that is why I have chosen Education as my major. I want to prove to other people that I also have the ability and I also have what it takes to be a good and responsible scholar.
