Question one
Ecofeminism has been attracting more feminist in the past. Many feminists have based ecofeminist it on the following suggestion. The suggestion there is a connection between the oppression of the ecology which is related to the oppression of women, understanding of the relationship between the oppression of women and nature is essential (Gould, 1989). Feminist practice and theory must include an ecological perspective, and feminist perspective must be included in solutions to environmental problems. Ecofeminism is, therefore, more than a complement to either environmental thought or environmental issue. Ecofeminism positions itself as a movement and theory which bridges the gap between ecology and feminism, though it transforms the two to form a unified praxis with the aim of bringing all forms of domination to an end. Ecofeminists understand that the association of nature and women has been used to exploit them hence they choose to embrace the connections as a foundation of empowerment and the source for their critique of the oppression of nature and women.

However, I think ecofeminism rely so much on female body despite the fact that the male and female body’s experiences some processes that are similar even though not all. But you must be careful before supporting this “body based” argument that female bodily experience confers on ladies better insight into our association with the natural world (Wacjman, 1991). Men share some biological processes with women like eating, dying and getting sick. Furthermore, if the biological process is what attunes women to nature, are women who do not experience these processes for example childbearing and breastfeeding less connected to nature. Men are also part of reproduction and without men, women would not bear children neither breastfeed. An ethics based on such an indisputable nature of women is constricting because it does not give room for advancement, consciousness, freedom and reason for females. I t limits women to their nurturing function and they do not expect to transcend it.
Question two

The Canonical Western Philosophy has been used to explain the ecofeminism. Canonical Western Philosophy relates to the Western philosophical cultures and it includes work from the majority of the philosophers. There is a tradition in the Western world referred to on this philosophy. In this philosophy, there is a tradition that has some extraordinary degree of conformity about the conceptual framework, the attitudes beliefs, concept and assumptions that describe the cannon. They include a dedication to rationalism, the observation that rationality is not only the feature of being human. This is what makes people superior to nonhuman nature and animals. The other aspect is a conception of human as rational beings that are capable of calculating the consequences of their deeds, reasoning, understanding, and principles of the entertaining objective (Marti, 1991). The other key feature of this philosophy is the conception of the knower as detached, impartial and disinterested and being the ideal moral agent. The next factor about this philosophy is a principle in fundamental dualism such as mind versus body emotion versus reason, nature versus culture, relativism versus absolutism and subjectivity versus objectivity. The fifth feature about this ecofeminist philosophy is an assumption that there exist an ontological divide between nonhuman animals and nature, and humans. The other characteristics of this theory which is based on actions are the universalizability as a standard for assessing the reality and truth of epistemological and ethical and principles. Feminist environment philosophy positions challenge most of these features.
