PROCESS ENGINEER
Troubleshoot, Optimized and upgraded the physical and operational processes in the napthenic specialty product and processing train. Determined statistical process control (SPC) parameters for every product in the naphthenic specialty product train. Instructed operators to operate the plant according to SPC guidelines. Involved as internal auditor for ISO9002 certification of the naphthenic specialty product and processing train. Deputized several times as head of the physical separation group covering the complete area of paraffinic and naphthenic luboils.
Key Achievements
Achieved an over-all benefit amounting to US$1,800,000 by proposing and implementing plant modification to enable thermal cracker (in crude distilling service) to be run in-line and heat integrated with a high vacuum unit.
Increased on stream performance of the unit by more than 60% by conducting and applying a study on fouling of critical heat exchangers at the furfural extraction unit.
Acquired a good overall view of the processes in the paraffinic luboil processing like light to medium crude distillation, naphtha hydro treating, avtur treating, sour gas treating, paraffinic luboil extraction, MEK dewaxing process and propane deasfalting process.

DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
Proved that up to 80% recoveries of fluorescent material from TL-tubes are feasible by conducting a technical feasibility study. The pilot plant was modified and several runs were carried out with different surfactants.
