Holy Bible From the Book of Matthew

The origin of this document is the holy bible from the book of Mathew. Matthew was tax collector-who was turned to be an apostle, highlights Jesus’ deeds and teachings to show us how God intends us to live and work in his new kingdom. As followers of Jesus Christ, we live in two worlds. We stand with one foot in the human world, where our work may be subject to unspoken expectations that may or not be in accordance with God’s ways. At the same time, as Christians we are subjects of God’s kingdom, committed to his values and expectations.  In telling the story of Jesus, Matthew shows us how to navigate the human world using God’s compass. In doing so, he constantly points us toward the world’s true identity as the “kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew uses “kingdom of heaven” and “kingdom of God”
To guide us in this way of life and work, Jesus discusses workplace matters such as leadership and authority, power and influence, fair and unfair business practices, truth and deception, treatment of workers, conflict resolution, wealth and the necessities of life, workplace relationships, investing and saving, rest, and working in organizations with policies and practices that are at odds with biblical norms.
The two quotes from the document that clearly indicates its point of view are the “ I have heard it was said, “You should love your neighbors and hate your enemies,” But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you so that you may be sons of your father in heaven for he causes his sun to rise on the good and the evil”. From this quote, it is clear that no human should judge his fellow human as it is God who has the power to judge. It is good to co-exist and be fair to our fellow human beings.
The second quote; “I have heard it was said, an aye for and eye and a tooth for a tooth” but I have said you should not resist an evil person” this quote can be interpreted to mean that revenge is not good. When a fellow human does an evil thing to you, do not pay with evil but do good things instead.
Besides being for personal behaviour, these teachings or instructions have an imminent impact on the social life. The social life is not made up of animals or inanimate creatures but human personalities. If these teachings permeate into an individual personality and every personality in the social network, then there will be a highly cohesive society.
The conventional views were full of hate and revenge. These teachings challenge them by redesigning a new way of avoiding conflicts. For example, the conventional view was of the argument that an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. As human beings, we are to err; hence if a tooth for a tooth or an eye for an eye principle was in force then everybody would be toothless and blind. The new teachings have tore apart the old belief with an amicable way of solving conflicts.
The Christian views have modified the traditional Jewish law to make much feasible. For example the teaching that we should not pay evil with evil, is a clear example to evade conflict. When a man slaps you on the left cheek, turn the right cheek for him too. The Jewish law was so harsh that it also had the tendency to degenerate into more and more conflicts.
The point I will prove from my document is that, human beings are the images of God and that no man is in a position of judging a fellow man or woman. (“ I have heard it was said, “You should love your neighbors and hate your enemies,” But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you so that you may be sons of your father in heaven for he causes his sun to rise on the good and the evil”).
Another point I have drawn from the topic is that human beings have the duty to show compassion to their fellow human beings. This is from the sermons on the mountain. For example that, blessed is the poor in heart for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. This clearly shows that nothing on earth will go with you when you die. Those with plenty of food should help those who are hungry and that those with surplus clothes to dress those who are naked.
