I had to go through a personal negotiation for salary as soon as I received the offer of the assistant manager in the marketing company. I wrote to the manager addressing him that I would like us to talk about the assistant manager position. I hoped that this time would still work to converse. I told the manager that I was extremely interested in the offer for a manager assistant position within the organization but I had a number of questions that I hoped we could discuss if possible. I let the manager know that following the offer of the position, I gathered a little time to assess the salary as well as the cost of living for such positions in the current day within the state. According to my investigation, the amount the company was offering me was under the average. I thus decided to as if the pay could be open to discussion. I reviewed a variety of manager assistant’s in nearly all marketing corporations and I found out that the profit packages were grand. I had an opportunity to talk with one of the company’s human resources and she was in actual fact caring in explaining the wellbeing plan. I let the manager know that I would appreciate in case the pay was permanent but I would really be grateful if they would reflect on an increase.
I used the silence and time as a method strategy (Aquilar & Galluccio, 2011). I never responded too fast to the offer which showed that I was not so hopeless to close the contract and that I had additional options. I also used the compromising strategy in which I used the manager to settle my issue to be satisfactory on my side as well as the organizations side. The results of my negotiation were effective since the manger agreed to increase my salary and I accepted the offer.
